(I don't do such party actually. However, I guess I need to write that 2 words for the opening).
It's been a year I didn't write any post. Yes, I wrote my last post in 2012, and it's 2013 now.
Bad joke ha? Today, I'm gonna show you how I modified a dress. It was not me my self, but ibu was behind me. She gave me her hand doing some sewing. Wanna see it? Come come..
The dress before being modificated |
It is my batik dress I bought in Pasar Bringharjo last year. It's quit cheap that I can save 25 thousand of my 100 thousand. No doubt since the design is very simple and many people have such a dress with the same design but different pattern.
I modified this dress on purpose. It's not about the design, it's about the height. When I wore this dress, it's stop above my ankle. I call it "cingkrang" in Bahasa Jawa. It makes me feel uncomfortable. Thus, I decided to attach a red cloth on the bottom part. Lucky me, I already bought the cloth few months ago so that I wasn't interfered my sewing mood.
The sewing progress |
Don't ask me what she was doing. She often helps me sewing any cloth. That day, I did cut and sew the cloth by my self. When I sew the bottom part of the dress, I guess I asked too many about how to do this and that o Ibu. This made her lost her interest. She took over the sewing machine and continued sewing the bottom part. That's it. She just finished sewing the bottom part, and I did the further sewing. I put a cloth belt over the belly and a ribbon on the right side. And, taraaaa....
I am so glad the dress getting better than before. It looks more chick and glamour . I wore this new look dress on my collage-mate's wedding party. I will wear it again on another party. The question will be, who's going to marry soon? I hope it's me
